Company Overview: Cirrus Design

Oshkosh 2007 Day 5 - Cirrus Design

 *

Our final broadcast from EAA AirVenture 2007 includes a segment on Cirrus Design Corporation. The company was founded in 1984 with a dream to design and build affordable airplanes that deliver greater control, more comfort, and unprecedented levels of safety. Today, Cirrus is developing several new models of aircraft including the single-engine, piston-powered SR22. That model clinched the distinction as the world's best selling airplane in its class. More than 1,250 talented individuals work for the Duluth, Minnesota-based manufacturer and many exciting career opportunities are still available at Cirrus. Avjobs Weekly spoke with Cirrus co-founder Dale Klapmeier, who talked about the company's newest aircraft and also discussed the many job opportunities available in engineering, sales and other important functions. Mr. Klapmeier also describes what his company seeks in job applicants.
